      Employed over three phases, our scope of works includes structural steel consisting of feature perimeter steelwork, fabricated from circular hollow sections including castings to head, base and beam connections. The work also includes stainless steel tensioning bars to braced bays and bow-string trusses. Structurally supported from the steel are external architectural stairs with extruded aluminium treads and landings.

      The package also includes the design, manufacture and installation of 3 atrium bridges incorporating triple laminated glass floors supported on stainless steel angles and tees and structural glass balustrades; and an atrium feature staircase with glass treads and structural glass balustrades.

      Our scope of works on this project encompassed a variety of bespoke structural and architectural steelwork.

      Within the main building the M of E staircases consist of structural mild steel supports and treads, painted to a high quality specification and stainless steel balustrades and handrails. The structural steel supporting the lift-shafts is also finished to mirror the quality of steelwork in the staircases as they are encased within a structural glass exterior.

      Several atrium bridges span across the void in the main entrance. They are supported by structural steel members and include structural glass treads and balustrades with stainless steel handrails.

      The external dock area of the building is characterised by a timber clad walkway with bespoke mild steel and stainless steel balustrade.

      The Gherkin is London’s first ecological tall building and striking addition to the city’s skyline. Generated by a radial plan, the energy-conscious design incorporates walls and roof into a continuous triangulated glazed skin, allowing column-free floor space, light and views.

      Our scope of works on the Swiss Re tower encompassed the design, manufacture and installation of the external feature metalwork including stainless steel balustrades and handrails around the perimeter of the ground level to the entrances of the building. We also provided bespoke louvres and glazed screens to the loading bay area.

      The Compass Centre is the centre for operations and recruitment of British Airways flight and cabin crew. It is a striking building on the A4 Bath Road, on the North side of Heathrow Airport, and the attention to detail in its design and construction have ensured that it stands out as an eye-catching example of architecture as well as being a functional facility.

      CMF Ltd designed, manufactured and installed many of the external features including the rain-screen cladding, and the structural glass canopy to the man entrance.

      Within the building we provided the main atrium staircase comprised of a steel base structure and structural glass treads and balustrades with stainless steel handrail. We also provided the atrium bridges and void balustrades and the structural glass facade to the lift-shafts.

      Our works package at the British Gas headquarters in Reading includes stuctural glass liftshafts with painted mild steel staircases and glass balustrades around the outside.

      The finish to the underside of the staircases and floor levels is the finest timber cladding with matching timber handrail on the glass balustrades.

      20 Gresham Street is a striking new HQ office building in central London near to St Paul's and Bank.

      CMF completed the architectural metalwork package including the glass atrium balustrades with stainless steel handrail, roof plant room staircases and sundry metalwork.

      CMF Ltd were involved in both Phase I and Phase II (Goggs East) of the refurbishment works to the HM Treasury in Westminster.

      In the first phase we designed, manufactured and installed one of the first structurally bonded glass lift-shaft enclosures, including bespoke aluminium secondary support system and structurally bonded glass. The package also included staircases, structural glass balustrades to bridges and the feature garden metalwork.

      In Phase II we designed, manufactured and installed the Drum Steel package, 120t 60m diameter steel roof support, the architectural metalwork package, 5th and 6th floor plant rooms, lift-shaft structures, plant supports and screens. The architectural metalwork package included feature curved stairs with structural glass balustrades.

      23 Savile Row is a new 100,000 sq ft office development located in Mayfair, London. CMF are responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the extensive architectural metalwork package including aluminium terrace balustrades with bespoke 350mm aerofoil extruded handrail section, core stair balustrades and sundry metalwork.

      The core, basement and ground-floor painted mild steel staircases with stainless steel balustrade and handrails / wallrails. The atrium steel stair includes a feature glass balustrade with stainless steel handrail.

      Also, our structural glass balustrades to the atrium bridges are a striking feature with distressed leather handrails softening the design.

      The BBC Media Village at White City in West London incorporates 5 buildings across a 17 acre site, including the Broadcast Centre, Media Centre and Energy Centre. The development was awarded an "excellent" rating under BREEAM, the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment, which assesses the environmental impacts of building developments.

      CMF were responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the feature atrium accommodation staircases, complete with timber cladding and balustrades. Also structural glass balustrades to the atrium void edges with anodised aluminium handrail.
